AMOC Area 16 Newsletter December 2014

Christmas Aston Area 16 1 - Version 2

Happy Christmas to everyone in AMOC Area 16

Dear Fellow Area 16 Members.

Next Regular Area 16 Club Meeting: 13th January 7.30pm. Meeting at Netherfield Arms Netherfield Rd Battle TN33 9QD

I would like to thank all our area 16 members for their support during 2014 and look forward to seeing everyone at events in 2015, happy and safe motoring.

5th December   Friday evening Area 16 Christmas Dinner:
A massive thank you to Nigel for organising the Christmas Dinner event at Shelley’s in Lewes, the event was well supported by members from various parts of Sussex, All the guys looked splendid in their dinner suits, there seemed to be an impromptu red theme from a number which was quite coincidental, the ladies did the men proud and looked magnificent in their gowns. A massive thank you to everyone who donated raffle prizes which were in excess of 16. The raffle this year was in aid of an organisation close to Liz and my hearts, “Hounds For Heroes’  we have three dogs of our own, so we have a bit of a soft spot for these hounds. This organisation trains and provides K9 support and assistance for injured and disabled service men and women, very similar to guide dogs but these dogs are trained to support the individual in  what ever is required. Do have a look at the link for their web site. http://houndsforheroes.com   A staggering £255 was raised from the raffle for this worthy cause.

The traditional “Over Cooked it Award” had a number of nominees who presented a number of excellent stories and events, following a very close vote, Mick Newson once again took the trophy to re-hang it in pride of place at home. See the link below for a couple of pictures,or our web site for more pictures.
