Our first meeting of 2015: 13th January was held at Netherfield Arms Netherfield Rd Battle TN33 9QD . Our first meeting of the year received a good turnout on a rainy, cold (with some hail thrown in) at The Netherfield Arms with a welcoming landlord and staff supported by an excellent winter warming menu offering a good varied choice. We met and welcomed new Member Michael Wheeldon who has a 2011 V8 Vantage, who travelled a 140 mile round trip to join us, we hope to see him again with his car at events in 2015. Good varied discussions on Astons along with many other subjects, including some reminiscing of one of our member’s former form of transport, used locally, this being a military Tank, we look forward to seeing some pictures, who can guess who this member is?? Well done to those Members who struggled through rain and hail to get to Netherfield and join us.

Anyone interested in a weekend visit to Bruges in Belgium in 2015, We currently have 5 Cars with 10 people who are interested so do get in touch if you can make it. The plan so far is to drive out on the Friday returning Sunday PM or Eve. I have spoken with the Belgium rep who is keen for us to go and meet up with some of their members. We are looking at Hotels in the area and at channel tunnel costs as this is being written, WI will send you links for channel tunnel booking, and suggested hotels, and will ask members to book and pay for there own travel and accommodation, we are looking at meeting up at a meeting point in France, driving to Belgium via a cost road, arriving in Bruges mid afternoon to book into hotels, I am hoping to arrange a meal / get together with Belguim members of mAMOC on the Saturday, with lunch or evening meal, The idea is to have a relaxing social weekend, with members taking in the sights as they wish, we hope to go for a couple of drives, but these will not be long distance, I am always open to suggestions or requests, so please look out for news updates on this.
