AMOC Area 16 News Letter August 2015

Dear Fellow Area 16 Members.

Next Area 16 Club Meeting: August 11th: 7.30pm Regular Meeting The Gun, Gun Hill, near Chidingly, TN21 0JU.

What’s been going on…..

Our regular club Meeting on July 14th at the Black Rabbit in Arundel saw an excellent turn out of 13 Astons and 24 members. We welcomed new members Peter Crowe, Martin & Angela Sasse and potential new members Simon & Kim, it was also good to see Howard Gilbert attending his first club meeting in 17 years. A very social evening was had with many stories and anecdotes being exchanged.

Lincoln’s Inn Fields Dinner.

Some of our members attended the Lincoln’s Inn Fields dinner that was organised by John Glyde (Area 21) on the 18th of July. A suburb venue to display the cars with around 100 people attending there was a good number of Astons to see, The dinner was held in The Old Hall, which was built in the fifth year of King Henry VII around 1490. An excellent menu was enjoyed along with a very informative speech about the history of Lincoln’s Inn from Heather Symes. Thank you John for a tremendous evening.
