AMOC Area 16 February Newsletter & Diary of Events 2016

Blue Car, Infront of house Web

Dear Fellow Area 16 Members.

Next Regular Club Meeting:  9th February Club Meeting – 7.30pm  Royal Oak, Wineham Lane, Henfield, West Sussex BN5 9AY Tel: 01444881252 – Elaine McCormack’s Quiz Night. A Night not to be missed, with prizes to be won.

News:  The 12th January Club Meeting saw new venue for the start of the new year, The Wheel Inn in Etchingham“ and a very good start to the year it was, with 20 members and 5 Astons in attendance. It was another great evening with good food and great company. With a busy itinerary announced for 2016 it looks to be a busy year for area 16. Our thoughts and best wishes go out to Kerry who is currently in hospital following an operation and Tony who has also been unwell for a number of weeks. We wish them both a speedy recovery and hope to see them both up and running very soon.

Time to start planning your 2016 diary; it may seem very early but the arrangements for the 2016 Christmas event required and an early commitment. Horstead Place has been booked for the 10th December and will follow a similar format as last year’s party, which was so well received that the same has been requested, we may well have to look for entertainment so if you have any ideas please let us know. Booking your hotel room can be done from Monday 15th February, on a first come first served basis, please note that we have priced the rooms at a preferential rate for our members that the hotel will be willing to honour if you wish to stay on the Sunday night as well. We will be sending out a separate communication with all the details within the next week.

We need more Astons:    With reference to Simply Astons at Beaulieu on the 10th April don’t miss the opportunity for a great drive out and fun filled day with other Aston enthusiasts.

Curlers: There are only 24 places for this event, this is great fun, our previous visit was a great success but area 7 took first place, so lets have another go. Please book this through Gary along with full payment to the club account as soon as possible so as to confirm your place, using the ref Surname / Curling, only £20 per head for a good 2 hours of fun.

Please read through the events as updates have been made and book early in order to help and assist the planning team. Please note change of venue for the March Club night, It’s you, the members, that make Area 16 so successful, without you, it would not be the club it is, thank you for your support.    Gary
